What is VAT?
Value-added tax (VAT) – an indirect tax, the value of which is added to the net value of purchase and sale transactions. The entrepreneur, when settling the tax, pays the amount depending on the net value of the sale (output VAT). The entrepreneur is also entitled to deduct VAT, provided that the expense to which the tax is related is connected with taxable activity (input VAT).
