About EU taxonomy
The EU Taxonomy is a tool that allows companies to assess their activities in terms of their compliance with sustainability goals. As required by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), companies must indicate which of their activities meet certain criteria of the taxonomy and how they contribute to environmental and social responsibility goals.
This process requires analyzing and reporting activities against four main criteria:
- contribution to environmental goals,
- minimizing negative impacts on other sustainable development goals,
- compliance with minimum guarantees
- meeting the technical requirements for qualifying activities.
When implementing a taxonomy, companies must not only meet these criteria, but also prepare the appropriate documentation to comply with EU requirements.
